Wednesday Prayer

Uploading what Shujing shared for wednesday prayer.... :)

2 weeks ago we were talking about ipraise, about hearing the sound of heaven on earth. Last week Shaunster talked about manifestation… that there is logos to rhema, but the highest form of manifestation is when the WORD becomes FLESH. WORD becoming FLESH is really, bringing what is in heaven onto earth. When we pray and when we speak and we see physically what happens, we are bringing heaven onto earth. Bearing that in mind, today, we will continue talking about us bringing heaven onto earth… but with a different angle.

God Invasion

When we talk about the Word becoming flesh, anything that is in flesh, is something that is ALIVE. And we know we serve a God who is LIVING. And we always say to have a glimpse of heaven, we need to look at the book of revelations… and let’s turn to the book of revelations the last chapter.

If we look at this chapter, we will realize that the last words of God in the written Word are “I AM COMING”.

V7, “Behold, I am coming soon”

V12, “Behold, I am coming soon!

V20, "Yes, I am coming soon."
      Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.”

You know a lot of people who come to church are living to die? They are sitting in church, and they are sitting there so that when they die to they will go up to heaven during their eternal life. But isn’t it interesting that the last words of God is not that we will go up to Him in heaven, but He will COME to us and bring HEAVEN onto EARTH for good? We know in the last days, Jesus will come, and He will come BACK here for us. But how many of us know, that it isn’t just in the last days? That God has always been wanting to COME to us? So today, we’d share on the topic of God Invasions. J

 Definition of God Invasion

We know that God is all around… but we know it takes something more – the manifested presence of God – to be able to have heaven on earth. When I say God Invasion, it means that God is actively trying to come to us with His manifested presence… And actually our entire bible is about how He has tried to woe us back into fellowship and relationship with Him! God is relentless about coming into our lives… And one of the greatest God Invasions that has happened, is really Jesus coming down to earth as a man to save all men back to God!

 How God Invasion Happens

Besides Jesus coming down, which is the major major God Invasion, this bible is filled with many other God Invasion. Taking a look at the differences between Old Testament and New Testament… When we think having the manifested presence on earth, we also mean that there must besome sort of divide between heaven and earth, and to have an invasion, there must be some kind of channel or entry point where heaven reaches earth. In the Old Testament times, make a guess… how did God Invasions happen?

If you look into the Old Testament, God Invasions always happened through PLACES.

God met Jacob later at Bethel, and then at Peniel. Bethel and Peniel are both places. Later on, God met Moses at the burning bush. The burning bush was a place. Joshua met God at the Jordan River. David had his God Invasion moment when Samuel went to Bethlehem and Samuel found David in the house of his father. Even the temple of God was built on the land which David used his money to buy.

Throughout the Old Testament, God met people at specific places. It’s as though God Invasions happened at specific spots… at a certain place… as if at certain moments certain places there will be portals opening up heaven onto earth! People had to go to specific places for worship, and the temple was the only place which had a permanent manifested presence of God!

But how many of us know we are in New Testament Times, and we live according to New Testament standards? So what I’m going to say next will have a greater relevance k… But in the New Testament, God Invasions happened through PEOPLE.Jesus was the first... Then the gospel was spread through the apostles… And the manifested presence of God was where the people of God, the CHURCH, gathered! In the day of Pentecost, the manifested presence of God came upon the disciples who were gathered together in the upper room.

In Acts 4:31, after Peter and John were brought before the Sanhedrin for a trial  but they couldn’t be found guilty and were released, this was said “After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

In the New Testament, WE are the temple of the Holy Spirit… So WE are the channels and portals for God Invasions to occur! In schools, we are to bring heaven onto earth by impacting the world around us by living out Jesus in our lives. In church, when we gather together, we bring the manifested presence into the place when we praise and worship together. WE ARE THE DECIDED INSTRUMENTS OF GOD FOR GOD INVASIONS TO OCCUR!

 Concluding…

And the most exciting part... In the physical realm, invasions occur when enemy lands… but invasions are completed only when the enemy comes in and take over your land. Invasions occur when the manifested presence of God comes… But Invasions are completed when the manifested presence of God tarries and remains, because God doesn’t just come… He comes and takes over! And that is what God wants… That in each and everyone of our lives, He doesn’t just come and touch us… but we surrender to Him so that He lives in us fully… and we in Him. That in our church, He doesn’t just visit on Saturdays, that His invasion can be complete and He takes over Generation of Promise FULLY!

That in our friends lives, He’d be the Lord over their lives! Back to Revelations… when Jesus said “He is Coming”, it’s in relation to ESTABLISHING THE NEW HEAVEN AND THE NEW EARTH. WHEN JESUS REIGNS ON EARTH! That is, Jesus wants to come to INVADE the earth fully and take over the reign! There will be a time… when God won’t just continually be trying invading… but the GOD INVASION will have a time of completion of Jesus comes and reigns fully.

But before that completion time, we will continually be God Invasion channels, so that He can continually come to try to INVADE our world, and INVADE THE WORLDS OF THOSE AROUND US. J
